Ottawa – Concrete Raising

Posted on May 7, 2014

A sinking concrete slab along a pathway or step is a tripping hazard and is also unsightly.

The slab can be raised so it falls in line with the surrounding concrete. This procedure is called “slab-jacking”. The concrete is hydraulically lifted by pumping grout mix into holes drilled into the sunken concrete and the area is floated back into place. The holes are then patched and the work is complete.
